Zara Tindall chokes back tears as she makes an emotional confession in rare interview

Zara Tindall has opened up on her husband Mike Tindall’s YouTube series ‘Mike Drop’, revealing her emotional journey as a mother and an Olympian. During the heartfelt 30-minute episode, Zara and Mike delved into her equestrian achievements, including her silver medal win with ‘High Kingdom’ at the 2012 London Olympics.

The Royal reflected on her early victories, such as her double gold at the 2005 European Championships and her individual gold and team silver at the World Equestrian Games in 2006.

She expressed the pride and joy of winning for the late Trevor Hemmings, owner of High Kingdom, cherishing that momentous occasion.

In a touching moment, Zara shared: “We managed to get him [High Kingdom] to the Olympics, which was incredible. Trev Trevor Hemmings has won so many amazing things in his racing career, Grand Nationals and things like that.”

While reminiscing about her Olympic journey, Zara became visibly moved and said: “But to see his face at the Olympics and to get that team medal was amazing,” as Wales Online noted.

Continuing with her story, she added: “And to be able to give something back to him when he had supported me for so long was incredible. I’m going to get emotional,” as the Express covered.

Zara and ex-England rugby ace Tindall have been hitched for over a decade, tying the knot at Canongate Kirk on July 30, 2011. In a recent touching conversation, Mike praised Zara’s steadfast dedication, often putting the needs of her horses and their owners first, sometimes even to the detriment of her own health.

The pair are doting parents to three kids – daughters Mia and Lena, and son Lucas. When not engaged with Royal responsibilities or sports-related activities, Zara fully immerses herself in her role as a hands-on mum, treasuring the time spent with her brood.
In an honest chat, Zara spoke about the struggle of balancing motherhood with her career commitments, including dealing with “mum guilt” and getting back into shape after giving birth. She candidly told her husband: “I found it hard getting myself back to it. Mentally, you feel guilty as a mother leaving your child to go and do something else.”

Zara and Mike’s romance began during Mike’s victorious Rugby World Cup campaign Down Under in 2003. Their engagement was announced in December 2010 when Mike gifted Zara with “a custom-designed diamond and platinum ring with a divided diamond band”.

The Tindalls call the picturesque Aston Farm home, residing in a seven-bedroom farmhouse beautifully located within Zara’s mum, Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire-a stone’s throw from King Charles’ beloved Highgrove residence.
