The pop superstar, 34, surprised fans by speaking Portuguese at the opening of her first-ever show in Lisbon, Portugal, for her Eras tour on Friday, May 24.
In a video posted from the concert by The Hollywood Reporter on X (formerly Twitter), Swift addressed the cheering crowd as she stood center stage at the Estádio da Luz stadium where she performed.
“Muito obrigada,” she said as she placed her hand on her heart, which translates as “thank you very much” in English, causing the stadium to erupt in louder cheers. The singer then fanned herself as she continued to gaze at the crowd
