USA Gymnast Jade Carey Delivers Strong Message To Simone Biles After Olympic Performance
During the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers on Sunday, Simone Biles and the USA women’s gymnastics team delivered a truly memorable performance. The team, including Biles, Jade Carey, Suni Lee, Hezly Rivera, and Jordan Chiles, achieved a score of 172.296 in the artistic team all-around qualifiers, securing the top score in subdivision two and the highest score overall.
Biles, once again, was the driver for Team USA, recording top scores in vault (15.300), balance beam (14.733), floor (14.600), and all-around individual (59.566). Biles did all this despite injuring her ankle in warmups.
After her epic performance, Biles took to social media to highlight her first day in Paris with a message to her fans and the world.
“Grateful to be doing what I love,” Biles captioned her post with a teary-eye emoji and blue heart emoji.
On the same day, Carey had an unfortunate moment in her floor performance where she fell at the end of her routine, causing her to take a huge hit in points. Carey was eliminated from the floor finals.
Despite this incident, Carey still showed support for Biles by leaving a simple yet strong message to her teammate in the comment section of the above post.
“You are a star,” Carey responded with two heart emojis.
Carey still had a strong showing in her vault performance with a score of 14.433, nearly one point behind Biles. Both Carey and Biles will represent the USA in the vault finals on Saturday, August 3, at 10:20 a.m. ET.
