Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry’s sister, Sydel Curry Lee, answered a query from a follower asking if her mother, Sonya Curry, was at “fault” for her third child. Sydel spoke about her decision to have a third child in an Instagram story she shared on Saturday. Sydel revealed that Sonya’s prayers played a role.
“lol she’s always wanted me to have a third and I was adamant on no no no. But you know what they say about a praying grandmother π π Baby 3 will be her 10th grandchild π₯°” Sydel wrote.
In an earlier story, Sydel conveyed to her followers that she was initially not planning on having a third child but later got used to the idea.
“Um, all that to say. One, I’m very excited that I’m actually finally able to talk about it. There’s a lot to catch you guys up on because it’s been about three months of getting used to the idea. Um, it took me a while to get used to the idea. I don’t know if I actually said it on here but we were very much done having kids and so yeah it was a journey to getting used to the idea of getting outnumbered and having three,” Sydel wrote.
Sydel Curry Lee and her husband, Damion Lee, welcomed their son Daxon, in November 2021. They welcomed their second child, their daughter, Daryn, in August 2023.
Sydel took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a heartwarming tribute to her son, Daxon, on his third birthday. Sydel shared snaps of a series of snaps of the mother-son duo coupled with a message in the caption.
“To the one who made me mommy first. My kind, energetic, so so smart and curious boy what would life be without you π₯Ή I love you beyond words my Tooks! Happy 3rd birthday! π€π€π½” Sydel captioned the post.
Sydel and Damion Lee waited three years after marrying in 2018 to have their son, Daxon, owing to the couple’s inability to conceive naturally. Now, after their long journey, they are excited to announce that they have conceived naturally.
