Gymnast Simone Biles proved she’s still the best in the world during the qualifying round of the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 28. While Biles gave the nation a scare after tweaking her calf during warmups on the floor, she continued to dominate on remaining events.

Biles’ husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, doesn’t fly to Paris until July 29. He watched the qualifying round in the middle of the night following Day 7 of Bears’ training camp in Lake Forest, Illinois.

Owens will be at the Bercy Arena in person for the women’s team final on July 30, and the individual all-around competition on August 1. Biles and Suni Lee, the latter of whom finished with a 56.132 score, will represent the United States in the all-around finals.

The women’s national team enter the finals as the squad to beat. Team USA (172.296) finished five points higher than the second place team, Italy, who finished with 166.861 points
