Royal watchers amazed by Princess Charlotte’s uncanny likeness to two family members
Princess Charlotte has been stealing our hearts with her Royal appearances since she was a little girl.
The nine-year-old daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales is frequently seen at Royal events such as Trooping the Colour, where she’s best known for keeping her younger brother, Prince Louis, in check during carriage rides and balcony appearances
Charlotte, who also has an older brother, Prince George, bears a striking resemblance to both her parents. However, eagle-eyed Royal fans recently noticed she also looks incredibly similar to two other members of the Royal Family.
Interestingly, while both royals in question are connected to Charlotte by blood, they’re not related to each other – making their resemblance even more intriguing.
A recent viral post by a Royal enthusiast highlighted Princess Charlotte bears an uncanny resemblance to her late grandmother, Princess Diana, when she was a young girl. But that’s not all, because she also appears to look remarkably like her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
Photos of the two women in their childhood were placed next to an image of Charlotte on Facebook, and the similarities are striking
Commenters on the post were divided between saying Charlotte “looks like the Queen” and she “resembles Diana”, suggesting she’s similar to both her late family members. Others, however, insisted she is “a beautiful young girl in her own right”.
One person remarked: “Charlotte looks like Charlotte. She is very pretty and has inherited the beauty genes of her mother, Diana, and the Queen, but she will be beautiful because of that as she grows into a beautiful woman. God bless you, Princess Charlotte.”
Tragically, Princess Charlotte never had the chance to meet her grandmother, as Princess Diana passed away in 1997 when her son – and Charlotte’s father – Prince William was just 15 years old.
However, she did share a close bond with her great-grandmother, the late Queen, who died in 2022 when Charlotte was seven.
Indeed, the Queen once made a heartfelt move that would forever alter their family, after she implemented a significant change to a Royal law that revolutionised the line of succession.
Before the arrival of William and Kate’s first child, the Queen enacted the Succession to the Crown Act, which reformed outdated Royal laws, ensuring their offspring would have an equal claim to the throne, irrespective of gender.
While Prince George’s position as third and now second in line to the throne remained unaffected as a male heir, the Queen’s decree ensured their daughter maintained her rank and wasn’t displaced by the birth of their third child, Prince Louis.
