The Duke of Sussex was reportedly “deeply wounded” by his father’s choice to grant the future King a prestigious military title, according to royal expert Emily Andrews.

In an interview with Woman magazine, Andrews revealed that Prince Harry has repeatedly expressed his sadness over losing his honorary military appointments after he and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties.

The blow was particularly harsh when King Charles appointed Prince William as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, a role previously associated with Harry’s military service.
