Newlyweds Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle finally celebrate besties Leon Draisaitl and Celeste Desjardins’ engagement with golf and desserts

Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid tied the knot with his longtime partner Lauren Kyle on July 27. The newlyweds recently celebrated the engagement of their close friends, Leon Draisaitl and Celeste Desjardins.

On Thursday, Lauren Kyle shared a couple of pictures on her Instagram story from their day out together with Draisaitl and Celeste. Lauren posted a mirror selfie with Desjardins and captioned the picture:
“Golf with the girls… and the hubby and Fiance

She posted another picture of Draisaitl and Desjardins sitting together in a restaurant where Celeste flaunted her engagement ring. On a platter of celebratory desserts, it was written “Congratulations”

Leon Draisaitl and Celeste Desjardins were among the attendees at the McDavids’ Ontario wedding. So far, the official snaps from the wedding have not been released but Draisaitl was filmed vibing to music in one of Celeste Desjardins’ stories during his friend’s wedding rehearsal.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are very close friends on and off the ice. Now that Draisaitl is reportedly on his way to sign an extension with the Oilers, fans will hope to watch the star duo dominate the ice for more years to come.

Meanwhile, Lauren Kyle was among the happiest people to have heard about the engagement of her friends. She reshared Desjardins’ post announcing the engagement, and expressed her excitement after hearing the news.

“My favourite people are getting married!!! Ahhhh”, Lauren wrote with a crying emoji in the caption.
Leon Draisaitl and Celeste Desjardins have been dating since 2018. Whether they will tie the knot anytime soon, remains to be seen.
