Michael Strahan’s Daughter Isabella Shares Important Health Update Just Weeks After Finishing Chemotherapy
Isabella Strahan, the daughter of Michael Strahan, shared a new health update this week that had fans going crazy.
The 19-year-old, who announced a few weeks ago that she had finished chemotherapy following a diagnosis of a malignant brain tumor last fall, revealed on her YouTube channel that she is officially cancer-free.
This incredible announcement comes nine months after she had surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor.
“It was a great, great scan,” Strahan said on her Vlog today. “Everything was clear. Cancer-free, and everything is great. I don’t have another doctor’s appointment until October.”
In her latest vlog, titled “Goodbye Hospital,” the student and model was back at the Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center, where she opened up about how much pain she was in.
“My side hurts a lot. It feels like I got stabbed. I was like, ‘Oh, it doesn’t hurt that much.’ I think it’s because all of the stuff wore off… I can’t stand up straight,” Isabella Strahan said per PEOPLE, wincing in pain. “I also feel like the tube was going into my heart because my heart started cramping. I don’t know if that’s supposed to happen, but… not enjoyable.”
“It definitely doesn’t feel great,” she added.
Isabella Strahan then received her MRI and was all smiles after she learned she is now cancer-free.
“I miss my doctors already and everyone who’s helped me because they’re all so nice,” she continued. “I feel like I’m just saddened today knowing that I wasn’t gonna be going back for a while because I love them so much. So, that was my last hospital vlog until October!”
Strahan has been sharing updates with followers throughout her health journey.
Michael Strahan Celebrated Isabella Strahan Ending Her Chemotherapy
Last month, Michael Strahan, the hall-of-fame NFL player and “Good Morning America” host, had reason to smile when he shared a video of his daughter Isabella Strahan ringing the bell after finishing her chemotherapy following her brain cancer diagnosis.
The 19-year-old could be seen wearing a gold paper crown on her head as she walked through the hallway of cheering people at the hospital.
Isabella rang the bell and hugged family members, including her twin sister, Sophia.
