Kate Middleton moves Sarah Ferguson to tears
Sarah Ferguson could not control her emotions while watching Kate Middleton’s life-changing video message.
The Duchess of York has broken her silence on the meaningful video of the Princess of Wales, in which Catherine spoke of her cancer recovery.
Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, who has been honoured as the new patron Breast Cancer Charity, has herself battled cancer this year.
Speaking on Thursday’s episode of This Morning, Fergie praised the future queen’s cancer journey.
In chat with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, the Duchess said: “The video that the Princess did was just incredible. I mean, I was so moved. It was beautiful.
Fergie also gave update on Kate’s health, saying: “She’s showing the world what it really is to look after yourself and self love in order to help others, and I think that’s extraordinary what she did.
She continued: “I loved when the King went to Cancer Research UK and actually sat on the sofa, and it’s coming from a place of empathy because he does understand.”
“That was the first time yesterday when I was sitting there with someone, it’s not just, ‘I understand’ and patronising. It was, ‘I know’ and so I think, to be able to talk about it is real and I think we have to.”
Talking about her own mammogram after which she received her diagnosis, Fergie said it was “the drive that saved my life. And that’s what I wanted to say. If anyone’s watching this, sitting at the end of the bed going ‘no I can’t possibly, it might be bad news.”
