John Legend’s Four-Word Message For Simone Biles Captures American Sentiment
Simone Biles is once again the pride of Team USA as she prepares to dominate at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Biles is widely considered the greatest gymnast of all time, and she furthered that reputation with a gritty performance in qualifying on Sunday.
Despite suffering a calf injury during a floor routine warmup, Biles finished the day with the highest overall score — setting her up beautifully to add to her gold medal count in the team final on Tuesday.
Biles shared some photos from Sunday’s qualifying on her Instagram. Fans — including 12-time Grammy Award winner John Legend — flooded Biles’ comment section with messages of support.
“You make us proud,” he wrote.
Legend was among the many celebrities in attendance to watch Biles’ performance on Sunday, joining the likes of Ariana Grande, Tom Cruise, Lady Gaga and Snoop Dogg.
Legend cut a promo about Biles for NBC Sports earlier this year.
Biles and Team USA will participate in the team final on Tuesday.
