Now a week later his fiancee Lauren Kyle has shared what they have been up to as a couple. She took to Instagram to show pictures and videos of a day on the water.
One Oilers’ news twitter account shared the video and image in a post yesterday. In it, you can see McDavid wakeboarding. There is also a picture Lauren took of McDavid getting ready to start his wakeboarding run.
I cannot report on how experienced McDavid is at wakeboarding. However, I can only imagine how much balance, stamina and core strength this sport requires.
With the McDavid wedding happening in 22 days, it’s nice to see McDavid relaxing and taking it easy. He was laser-focused during the Stanley Cup playoffs. It nearly paid off, as they came one goal shy of tying Game seven and forcing overtime.
He was recognized for his impressive playoff performance by receiving the Conn Smythe Trophy. In 25 postseason games he recorded eight goals, 34 assists and 42 total points.
