Strictly Come Dancing fans have identified a potential omen of doom for a favoured contestant’s imminent departure.

Glitter and glamour returned to television screens on Saturday night (December 7) as the much-anticipated semi-final of the show dazzled viewers. Presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were ready to greet the remaining celebrity contestants.

The previous week’s show culminated in Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas being voted off after a tense dance-off with rivals Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec. Now, Pete Wicks, JB Gill, Tasha, Chris McCausland, and Sarah Hadland vie for their chance to perform in the eagerly-awaited final.

But fans barely kept their composure when it emerged that Tasha and Aljaz Skorjanec were set to dance firsta spot which devotees have dubbed the ‘death slot’.

As they took to the ballroom floor, Tasha and Aljaz delivered an elegant waltz to “Something new” by Girls Aloud. However, this early performance has sparked fears amongst supporters that Tasha’s tenure may now be in jeopardy, reports the Mirror.
Tweeting under the handle X, a vexed viewer exclaimed: “Reading that Tasha is in the death slot… F*** THIS SHOW man. Why are they doing everything to protect Pete.”

Another concerned fan commented: “Tasha in the death slot? Interesting..”
Furthermore, another observer suggested a nefarious plot against Tasha after she debuted a dramatic change in hairstyle to big, bold curls, accusing the programme of foul play: “Why have they dressed Tasha up stupidly? Hope they aren’t setting her up.”

Despite initial concerns from the audience, Tasha’s performance was a hit with the judges. Anton Du Beke highlighted his “brilliant technical quality and expression. ” while Craig Revel Horwood lauded the duo’s “phenomenal” lifts. The pair were later rewarded with a high score of 35 points from the panel.
