Angelina Jolie is joined by her daughter on the red carpet

Few things are more synonymous with philanthropist, Oscar-winner and now Broadway producer, Angelina Jolie, than the brood of children she shares with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.

On Sunday (17 June), Angelina was awarded her first Tony Award for her work producing the Broadway musical, The Outsiders with her 15-year-old, Vivienne, by her side on the red carpet.

The pair wore co-ordinating outfits, with Vivienne matching a waistcoat and bowtie in a similar muted jewel tone as Angelina’s stunning gown.

The Mr. & Mrs. Smith star turned her hand to Broadway with her recent work producing The Outsiders (a musical adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s 1967 novel and Francis Ford Coppola’s 1983 movie) and even tapped Vivienne as a volunteer assistant on the project.

In April 2024, the pair posed for pictures with the cast and were spotted out and about shopping in New York. ‘Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives,’ Angelina said in a statement in 2023. ‘She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute.’

In August 2022, Angelina revealed to People that she’d also hired her sons to work on a new film Without Blood, based on a 2002 novel by Alessandro Barrico.

‘We work well together,’ Angelina told the news outlet. When a film crew is at its best, it feels like a big family, so it felt natural.’

Pax and Maddox reportedly worked in the assistant director department alongside Angelina, who directed the film. Angelina said Pax ‘worked hard’ on the film. He and Maddox also worked with Angelina on 2017 drama First They Killed My Father and Maddox also helped out on 2015 romance drama By The Sea.

In April 2021, Angelina spoke about how she navigates her career while raising her children, who she co-parents with her ex-husband Brad Pitt following their 2016 separation. Angelina said she is more selective about the projects she chooses and has opted more for acting work rather than directing because this allows her to spend more time with her family.

‘I love directing, but I had a change in my family situation that’s not made it possible for me to direct for a few years,’ the actor told Entertainment Weekly. ‘I needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so I kind of went back to doing a few acting jobs. That’s really the truth of it.’

A month later, she described her brood as ‘cool people’. ‘We’re such a team so I am very, very lucky,’ Angelina told E!’s Daily Pop. ‘I’m always the one who worries but I don’t worry about them. They’re cool people.’

In May 2021 the actor opened up to Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show about how she’s spent more time at home in recent years, noting: ‘The last few years I haven’t been able to direct. I’ve been home much more. I’ve done a few films but I’ve been mostly been home.

‘They’re very important years to be home. It’s a certain time for our family when I’ve needed to be home but these are the years when they’re really growing into adults. I’m happy to be there and try to make sure… I do the best that I can.’

🚨 BREAKING: The former president is facing renewed pressure after Ted Lieu publicly raised fresh questions surrounding the handling of materials connected to Jeffrey Epstein. During remarks that quickly spread online, Lieu stopped short of making direct legal accusations but pointed to what he described as gaps, inconsistencies, and unanswered issues that deserve transparency. The framing was deliberate—focused on oversight and public accountability rather than sensational claims—yet the impact was immediate. This isn’t a courtroom ruling—it’s a political spotlight moment. When a member of Congress calls for deeper scrutiny, it can reignite conversations that never fully disappeared. Now the key question: will this lead to formal action—or simply intensify the debate already unfolding in public view? 👇👇

🚨 U.S.–CANADA WATER TENSIONS? OTTAWA SIGNALS SOVEREIGNTY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE 💧🇨🇦🇺🇸 Amid ongoing trade and resource discussions, speculation surfaced about U.S. interest in expanded access to Canadian water resources. Canadian officials responded clearly: water sovereignty is not on the table. Ottawa emphasized that freshwater management is tied to national security, environmental policy, and long-term climate planning — and would not be subject to external control. While no formal proposal for “control” has been confirmed, the exchange highlights how strategic resources are becoming more sensitive in cross-border negotiations. For Canada, the message was firm: core natural assets remain a domestic decision. Full story 👇
