The Edmonton Oilers captain and Lauren Kyle are set to exchange vows on July 27, 2024, as announced by Lauren in her Instagram story in May. Known for sharing glimpses of her life on social media, Lauren revealed more details about their upcoming wedding this week.
She disclosed that Sam Gagner, McDavid’s teammate from the Oilers, will have his daughter Cali as the flower girl at the ceremony. After over eight years together, Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle are embarking on the next chapter of their lives as they prepare to celebrate their love surrounded by family and friends.
McDavid’s soon-to-be wife shared a touching message on Instagram following the Edmonton Oilers’ Stanley Cup defeat to the Florida Panthers last month.
Despite the Oilers falling short in the final game of the series after a valiant comeback, Kyle expressed her gratitude in an Instagram story for the team’s achievements this season.
“As heartbroken I am I feel so grateful to be in Edmonton with this group. I just need to say how proud I am of everything we accomplished this year, win or loss.
Seeing so many fans travel across the continent to support our team was so incredible. We have the BEST fans in the league and no one deserves it more. We will bring it to Canada soon!!!”
Despite the Oilers’ Cup defeat, Connor McDavid won the Conn Smythe Trophy after an impressive playoff campaign. The 27-year-old notched up 42 points through eight goals and 34 assists in 25 post-season games.
