“I like the facts. I like science. I don’t want to give any airtime to his — I mean, just conspiracy bullsh*t,” said California Attorney General Rob Bonta, who’s spearheading the lawsuit. “Can there be an example of a pharmaceutical company that did something wrong, and hurt people based on the facts, and they’re enjoying absolute immunity when they should have accountability? Yeah, that’s possible.”
Bonta said that his team is “mobilized” for the legal fight and aims to overturn the decisions made by RFK’s appointees to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. California is also aiming to replace those MAGA stooges with competent experts.
Under RFK’s harebrained leadership, the department has slashed its recommended vaccines for children from 17 to 11 — paving the way for an explosion of avoidable diseases. RFK Jr. has long been an anti-vax crackpot and has weaponized his power within the administration to forward his fringe views.
“This reckless move by the Trump administration has nothing to do with science or informed choice — it’s about appeasing a debunked anti-vaccine agenda being pushed by RFK Jr. and his allies,” Governor Gavin Newsom said last month January. “Undermining the prior CDC’s childhood vaccine schedule flies in the face of decades of medical expertise and puts ideology over evidence. I strongly condemn this decision that puts infants and children at real risk.”
This is the kind of aggressive behavior that we should be demand from all of our blue state administrations. Trump needs to be fought on every front, nonstop, until he is out of office. Only by contesting every single one of his destructive policies can we hope to save our country from lasting damage.
