In a historic move that has the entire hockey world buzzing, the owner of the Edmonton Oilers has officially approved a massive $7.6 million budget to construct a state-of-the-art statue of NHL legend Wayne Gretzky outside Rogers Place. The tribute aims to immortalize Gretzkyโs unmatched legacy and celebrate his phenomenal impact during his unforgettable years with the Oilers.
Gretzky, widely known as “The Great One,” led the team to four Stanley Cup victories in the 1980s and redefined what it meant to be a hockey icon. Now, decades later, fans will soon be able to stand before a breathtaking monument that captures his greatness in bronze.
