Super Bowl 2025: Chiefs vs Eagles 22-40 – as it happened

It’s a wrap
The Chiefs’ quest for a historic three-peat comes to an inglorious end. The Eagles, led by their defence, were just too powerful on the day.
Jalen Hurts, who kept his composure with a strong passing and running game, led his side to a second title in their franchise, and will hope this lays the foundation for another title defence next February.
We hope you enjoyed our coverage today, and on behalf of Kevin Hand, this is Rohan Sharma signing off.
Eagles coach Nick Sirianni spoke as well: “That is a great football team. We had to come out and play our best. What a lesson to the entire world! What a lesson to the entire world about what good teamwork does!
“We have guys who will fight for each other. It takes a lot of work to develop that. This is the greatest team sport ever. Let’s run this back [next year]!”
Hurts is awarded 2025 Super Bowl MVP
He had this to say at the Vince Lombardi trophy presentation: “God is good. He has been with us through the highs and lows. Couldn’t have done this without my teammates.
“It isn’t about winning, but what we do, and how we respond to certain things.”
The trophy presentation up next!
The Vince Lombardi trophy will be awarded to a new winner this season.
We will also get some quotes from the coach and MVP.
